Heritage Roses

Heritage Roses Australia held their winter meeting at Harper's Mansion on 30 July. Steve Beck, current President of the society spoke to members and guests on how to prune heritage roses and then toured the Heritage Rose Garden at Harper's demonstrating techniques appropriate to each plant - also pointing out a few that were incorrectly labelled. A couple of plants which were threatened by being overtaken by the root-stock were appropriately rescued with a sharp stroke of a spade!

Sue Kingsland spoke briefly about the upcoming conference. Visit Heritage Roses Australia website for more details.
